How do I dispute the accuracy of information contained in my report?

MyTruSeal’s parent company TruDiligence LLC operates as a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. For the purposes of the MyTruSeal reports, we do not collect, store or maintain any of the data directly. We simply compile and report the information as it was obtained from third-party public record sources. Therefore, if you find inaccuracies within the data, there are several steps to consider:

1. Make sure the correct identifiers were supplied at the time of the order. A simple typo in your name, date of birth or social security number during the order process will affect the accuracy of our results.

2. If the identifiers are accurate and an inaccuracy in the report still exists, the inaccurate data must be fixed at the source. For example, if our report shows a record in Dallas County, Texas, that matches your identifiers, the record must be corrected with Dallas County directly. Only you can do that. You must contact the court directly and complete its record dispute process. Once the inaccurate record has been removed or amended by the court clerk, the clerk will provide you with a certified letter indicating the change that was made. This certified letter must be provided to TruDiligence for us to amend your MyTruSeal report.

Once we receive your documentation, we will validate the information provided; amend your MyTruSeal report as needed and resend a link to your new report via email.  Allow 24 hours for this process to be completed.
